Are you standing in front of a locked KIWI door and unable to enter your apartment? Don't worry, we will help you get back inside quickly.
Important Note: All KIWI doors are insured through Allianz. This means you can call a locksmith through the insurance at any time.
However, before you call the hotline, there are often faster and more convenient alternatives. Please go through the following steps.
1. Check Immediate Solutions by Product Line
The first step depends on which KIWI product is installed at your location.
Option A: For KIWI Classic (Green label)
This product is identified by the green KIWI lettering on the knob or handle. Remote opening is possible here if you or other users have permission.
- Opening via WebApp: Use any device with internet access (laptop, tablet, a neighbor's phone). Log in to the KIWI WebApp and use the remote opening function. Forgot your password? Trigger an immediate password reset via your stored email address.
- Ask Other Users: Ask other invited users (family, roommates, colleagues) to open the door via their app.
- For shared doors, the administrator/owner can also open the doors remotely.
- Solution via Property Management (Offline Account): If you do not have online access (only a transponder), contact your responsible property management. They can activate a new transponder for you.
Option B: For KIWI Blue (Blue label)
This product is identified by the blue KIWI lettering on the knob or handle. Opening here is only possible via the app within Bluetooth range (a few meters).
- Opening via App: If you know your access data, you can log in using a neighbor's app to open the door via Bluetooth.

Solution via Property Management (Offline Account): If you have an Offline Account, contact your property management. They can check if you can be migrated to an Online Account so you can use the App/WebApp in the future.

Other Transponders/Keys: Do other users, family members, or colleagues have their own transponder or a metal key that they can quickly bring to you?
3. The Allianz Emergency Opening
If none of the above solutions work, and you require immediate access, use the insured emergency opening service.
Important:
- Only the emergency opening is covered by this insurance, making it free of charge for you.
- Only doors equipped with a KIWI lock are insured.
- Material costs (e.g., for a new lock cylinder if damaged) are not included.
