To unlock a door with a KIWI Handle or KIWI Knob, hold the transponder flat against the KIWI logo on the handle/knob and ensure that there is no water or objects in between. If the knob or handle flashes red, this means that you do not have access authorization. Please check your app to see if you have unlimited access rights for this door.
Only doors for which you have permanent access rights can be opened with the KIWI transponder. Doors for which you have temporary rights or rights set up for specific times can only be opened with the KIWI app. If the knob/handle flashes red, please contact the owner of the door or the person who gave you the transponder.
When unlocking front doors, garages, or SmartDOORs, make sure that no metal objects interfere with the radio connection between the door and the transponder and that you are within range of the door (approx. 1-3 meters). Press the button on the transponder and check whether the LED flashes. If the LED does not flash, the transponder battery is empty and must be replaced.
| Doors with NFC functionality, such as handles and knobs, can also be opened when the transponder battery is discharged. |
