There are several ways to register for the KIWI App:
- Option 1: You have already received an invitation via email from KIWI.
- Option 2: You have a QR code or Magic Link.
- Option 3: Request an invitation from the door administrator.
- Option 4: You own a functioning KIWI Transponder.
Option 1: You have already received an invitation via email from KIWI.
Your system administrator (owner, property manager, client) has invited you to use KIWI via email.
Proceed as follows:
- Click the link in the invitation email to activate your user account. The link is valid for 14 days.
- Create your user account using the email address to which you received the invitation.
- Set a strong password to protect your user account.
- Download the KIWI App for iOS and Android.
- Log in with the user data you created in steps 2 and 3.
- Done! You can now open your doors using your smartphone!
Option 2: You have received a QR code or Magic Link from the door administrator.
You have received a QR code (with the KIWI logo) or a link for KIWI registration from your system administrator (owner, property manager, client), either digitally or as a letter.
Proceed as follows:
- Scan the QR code with your smartphone's camera app or click on the link (or type it into a browser) to activate your KIWI user account. The code/link is valid for 14 days.
- Open the link. This works best on a smartphone.
- If you haven't already, download the KIWI App for iOS and Android.
- Follow the instructions in the KIWI App and create your user account using a valid email address that you have access to.
- Set a strong password to protect your user account.
- Log in with the user data you created in steps 4 and 5.
- Done! You can now open your doors using your smartphone!
Option 3: Request an invitation to the App from the door administrator.
If you have not received the information for Option 1 from the door administrator and have also not received a link, please contact your property management or the door owner directly. You can be invited to use the App at any time; simply share your email address with the administrator.
Once you have received an email, the subsequent steps are the same as Option 2.
Please note that for security reasons, we at KIWI cannot complete the registration for you.
Option 4: You already own a functioning Transponder.
If you have received an active transponder from your property management, you can link your account to your email by following the steps below. It is important to check the documents you received for the necessary verification data.
You Will Need:
- Your KIWI customer number (You can get this from your property management.)
- Transponder PIN (You can find this on the enclosed flyer in the transponder packaging.)
- A personal email address
Instructions:
- Download the KIWI App.
- On the login screen in the App, click "Register."
- Enter your 14-digit KIWI customer number, paying attention to capitalization.
- Provide an email address that will be used for your KIWI user account in the future.
- Enter the PIN of your active transponder.
- Create a strong password to protect your user account.
- You will be automatically logged into the KIWI Web App and will see all doors you have access to.
- Finally, verify your email address by following the link in the confirmation email in your inbox.
- The KIWI App is now ready to use! Log in with the user data you created in steps 5 and 6 to open doors and invite friends and family.
